I usually realise I want a black and white image at the point of taking it. Earl digital printing was so inferior for black and white, that it was only recently that I could realise good quality monochrome prints without resorting to a darkroom.</p>]]></description>

Longer exposures were taken using an astrotrac. A fast standard lens, F1.8 and 35 to 50mm lens is ideal for large objects like the milky way, but smaller objects a long telephoto lens is needed, but this brings in its own problems, like longer exposures, and more effective balancing of the camera.</p>]]></description>
